Owaisi dismisses a partnership with the Congress

In light of the impending Lok Sabha elections in Telangana, AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday ruled out forming an alliance with any party, including the incumbent Congress.

“Those who claim that Telangana has formed a coalition seem to be misunderstanding something. However, we are certain that there isn’t an alliance with any other party, the four-term Member of Parliament from Hyderabad said.

Congressman Feroz Khan, who waged an unsuccessful campaign from Nampally in the most recent Assembly elections, recently said that the AIMIM and the traditional party have become friends. The governing Congress has not yet declared who would represent it in Hyderabad.

After spending his second day of campaigning in the Bahadurpura region, the AIMIM president spoke with journalists and pledged his party’s support for the AIADMK in Tamil Nadu’s elections. “AIADMK has vowed never to form an alliance with the BJP again and has declined to form an alliance with it now. Additionally, it has promised to fight the NPR, CAA, and NRC. As a result, AIMIM offers AIADMK its support for the next Lok Sabha elections. In a post on X, Owaisi said, “Our alliance will also continue for the Assembly elections.”

The AIMIM MP dismissed the claims of nearly six lakh fraudulent and duplicate votes made by his competitor BJP candidate K Madhavi Latha, calling them propaganda by the saffron party.

The procedure of adding voter names is carried out each year in January, and the Election Commission of India (ECI) then provides the list. I am not the ECI’s head. Everyone has a certain period of time to voice complaints after that. Following the expiration of that period, the final voter list is made public, followed by the addition and deletion list. And what part am I supposed to play in that? It indicates that you are critiquing the ECI’s work. These guys are demeaning Hyderabad voters from many origins with their remarks, Owaisi said.

The AIMIM chief described Madhavi’s purported comments on his identity and clothes as hate speech directed at him.

However, Hyderabad’s populace will allow love to triumph over hatred. In elections, the people will defeat those who oppose unity.

Regarding the travel advice issued by the Indian government in the midst of escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, Owaisi said that the workers were permitted to go there by the Narendra Modi-led Union government and insisted that they return right away.

In response to a question on the Old City development project, Owaisi said that the AIMIM would maintain building Hyderabad. He went on, “The AIMIM will never compromise on development.”
