Palwal: Two days after the grocery store fire, three children die from burn injuries

Today, three youngsters in a Delhi hospital passed away from burns, one of them a female. They had been seriously injured on Wednesday night in a fire at a grocery store in the district’s Lakhanka hamlet.

Hujefas (15), Sharmin (13), and Yakub (12) have been identified as the victims, according to the police. When the fire started while the kids were inside the store, they got burn injuries.

The store’s owner, Khalil Ahmed, told the police that he, his daughter Sharmin, son Hujefa, and neighbor Yakub were there when the crime occurred.

He continued by saying that the youngsters had lit a candle after there had been a power outage, which started the fire. The kids had attempted to put out the fire on their own, and there was no adult in the area. Nevertheless, they were engulfed in the fire and thus sustained severe burn injuries.

Despite being flown to Delhi, he claimed, the victims passed away today from their wounds. An investigation is underway, according to a police officer.
