Police arrest three Faridabad-based cybercriminals

The Cyber Crime Investigation Cell (CCIC) has arrested three con artists who defrauded a lady of Rs 62,835 while running a phony contact center.

According to Baljeet Kaur from Daria village, she got a call from someone claiming they hire people who are eager to work in banks. In addition to sending the victim fictitious papers, such as an appointment letter, the caller promised her a position at a private bank.

The caller stopped answering her calls after the complainant fell for the scam and deposited a total of Rs 62,835 in a bank account.

Following a raid in Faridabad, three individuals were taken into custody: Aarti Mehra (age 31), Avinash Faitmar (age 22), and Sailesh Kumar Singh (age 31), who was the manager of the phony contact center. From them, we were able to retrieve three computers, nine cell phones, and one SIM card.
