Private schools in Narnaul claim that police have harassed them

The proprietors of many private schools in this town of Narnaul have accused the police of harassing them by making their student-transporting buses stop for an extended period of time on the Narnaul-Rewari route here yesterday during routine operations.

According to their allegations, police issued challans without verifying the papers they had stored in DigiLocker and mParivahan. Fascinatingly, this occurred after a meeting that Deputy Commissioner Monika Gupta had with the proprietors of the private schools in Narnaul town. She gave them assurances that the papers that were stored in DigiLockers and mParivahan would be regarded as legitimate and that no charges would be brought against them.

In this respect, the proprietors of the schools called SP Arsh Verma today and asked that the issue be investigated. On social media, a video of a fight between police and school administrators also gained a lot of traction.

“I went to Rewari Road yesterday after hearing from members of my organization that the police were stopping their buses even though they had paperwork at Parivahan. I advised them not to accuse the buses of lacking original documentation since all of the vehicles had Xerox copies of the paperwork. Despite being shown the notice from the Haryana Transport Department on mParivahan and DigiLocker, they persisted and issued challans, according to Anil Kaushik, president of the Progressive Private Schools’ Association.

He said that while the children were being dropped off at their homes after school, the police officers on duty forced the buses on the Narnaul-Rewari route to stop for more than an hour. He also said that this resulted in lengthy traffic lines and a great deal of harassment for the youngsters.

“We have made the SP aware of the problem. He has promised to cancel any challenges that are pointless. Law enforcement officials are not allowed to halt student buses for an extended period of time, according to Kaushik. Numerous of the challans that were issued, according to SP Arsh Verma, were legitimate.

The authorities in question have been instructed to verify and revoke any challans that included documents that were uploaded on the DigiLocker. It’s possible that some public schools are inflating how long the buses were halted for inspection. All police officers have, however, received the appropriate training. The SP said, “I have also reassured the proprietors of the schools.
