Pro-Palestine WhatsApp Status in Karnataka Sparks Police Warning

In the Vijayanagara district of Karnataka, the Hospet Police issued a severe warning to Nawaz, a 20-year-old guy. This occurred after he on Thursday, October 12, published a pro-Palestine video as his WhatsApp status.

During the Israel-Palestine conflict, the Hospet Police discovered that certain residents of one Hospet area were using social media to spread pro-Palestine material. As a result, they used Sections 108 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) (security for good conduct from those distributing seditious material) and Section 151 (arrest to prevent the commission of cognizable crimes) to call the young man for interrogation on Thursday. In the end, they warned him before releasing him.

The in question 20-year-old is an attendant at the minority cell in Hospet. In a different occasion, the police detained Alam Pasha as a preventative action to stop the continuing distribution of similar recordings. Pasha has a case pending against him for allegedly spreading seditious material. He is being held while being questioned and will appear before an executive magistrate.

Thousands of innocent individuals were traumatized by the tragic events that occurred on October 7, when Hamas launched an assault on Israel. Hamas terrorists first launched a barrage of rockets towards Israel, which was followed by a large ground attack. These activities tragically led in the deaths of several innocent individuals, including newborns, mothers, and, in some heartbreaking instances, babies still within their mothers’ wombs.

Israel carried out retaliatory airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, which is governed by Hamas, in reaction to these catastrophic assaults. More than 1,500 Gazans have lost their lives as a result of the dire effects.
