Punjab: Five Bambiha Gang members are detained by the police

Five persons were detained by the Punjab Police in relation to the Bambiha gang.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bathinda, Gulneet Singh, several complaints against the offenders have already been filed because of the ongoing occurrences of looting.

When police officers attempted to stop them in the past, the accused misbehaved with them, grabbed their SLR, and fled.

After then, it was discovered during a police inquiry that the accused is a Bambiha gang member’s accomplice.

 

Through the filing of a complaint and the recovery of firearms, including an SLR, police have initiated action against the accused.

 

 

The Lawrence Bishnoi and Bambiha gangs were the targets of two distinct supplemental chargesheets that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had earlier filed on August 9.

 

“NIA has filed two separate Supplementary Chargesheets against several key members of the Lawrence Bishnoi and Bambiha gangs, even as a Special Court declared seven absconders as Proclaimed Offenders (POs) in the multi-state terrorist-gangster-drug smuggler network,” the agency said in a statement.
