Punjab: Three Miscreants With Links To Bambiha Gang Held After Encounter With Police In Moga | Watch

In the Moga region of Punjab, there was another encounter on Sunday as part of the continuing campaign against criminals. After engaging in gunfire with law enforcement, three criminals who were suspected of having ties to the Bambiha gang were taken into custody.

During a check on the Badhni-Malyana highway in Moga, three individuals on a bike were requested to halt by a police squad; however, they tried to flee, prompting the police to chase them, according to a senior police officer.

The police official said that the three abandoned their bike and entered a neighboring farm, where they opened fire on the responding police squad. Eventually, they turned themselves up.

Three individuals were recognized by the police as Navdeep, a native of Dharamkot, and Shankar Rajput and Jashav, inhabitants of Moga. According to news agency PTI, police said that they were friends with Bambiha gang members Lucky Patial and Mandeep Dhaliwal.

Gangster Sukhdev Singh Alias Vicky was recently shot and killed by the Punjab Police during an encounter after he opened fire on the CIA team as they were being pursued. According to police sources, the thug, who lived in Machhiwara, Punjab, was sought in more than 25 criminal cases under the IPC and CrPC.

There are 28 cases against the wanted criminal at various police stations in Punjab and Haryana. A Tribune story said that he and his friends had stolen a pharmacy in Jamalpur and fired at a worker at a liquor shop in Sehnewal a few days before.
