Rajnath Singh: “People in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir will demand to be with India.”

According to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, the people of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) would seek to be part of India given the developments occurring there.

“Never fear. “PoK was, is, and will remain ours,” Singh said on Sunday at a rally in Darjeeling, West Bengal, where the BJP had nominated Raju Bista, the current Member of Parliament.

“India’s economy is growing quickly, and our strength and reputation are rising both domestically and internationally. Currently, our brothers and sisters in the PoK will want to go with India,” Singh said.

In addition, Rajnath Singh, the minister of defence, attacked the Trinamool Congress for the recent events in Sandeshkhali, stating that a government that puts women in danger shouldn’t be allowed to continue in office.

“There has been a significant decline in West Bengal’s law and order situation. Improving the legal framework and overall conditions of every state is a prerequisite for its development. Bengal, however, has a distinct issue. Take a look at the Sandeshkhali occurrences. “The government that does not provide safety for women ought to be removed from office,” Singh said during a mass gathering in Darjeeling, West Bengal.

On Monday, Rajnath Singh, the minister of defence, departed for Siachen, where he would meet with the local military forces.

Rajnath Singh wrote, “Leaving New Delhi for Siachen,” in a post on X. Anticipating engaging with our valiant military personnel stationed there.”

The legendary “Operation Meghdoot,” in which Indian troops thwarted Pakistan’s attempts to seize control of the Siachen glacier, celebrated its 40th anniversary one week prior to the Defense Minister’s visit to Siachen.

West Bengal has always been a bastion for the Trinamool Congress (TMC). The TMC emerged as the dominating force in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, winning 34 seats in the state. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on the other hand, was only able to secure two seats. The Congress won 4 seats, while the CPI (M) secured 2.

Nonetheless, the 2019 polls revealed a notable change in the political environment. In sharp contrast to their previous score, the BJP gained 18 seats. The TMC’s advantage was maintained, although they now only had 22 seats. The Left Front failed to win any seats, resulting in the Congress’s representation being cut to just two MPs.

In West Bengal, there are seven parts to the voting process. On April 26, Darjeeling is expected to participate in the second round of the Lok Sabha elections.

June 4 is when the votes will be tallied.
