RTA seizes eight cars in Palwal and Faridabad

The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) recently seized five private buses for breaking state-announced traffic laws in an effort to protect children riding on school buses.

The campaign began this morning, one day after six pupils in the Mahendragarh area perished in a bus accident.

According to an official, the detained buses were discovered to be in violation of fitness certificate regulations or to be missing necessary documentation, such as those pertaining to insurance and pollution. Furthermore, it has been discovered that the Delhi government has placed at least one bus on a blacklist.

All 3,000 school buses that are registered with the authority, as well as any other vehicles that transport students will be carefully inspected to make sure they adhere to the standard guidelines and rules that have been issued by the state government, according to DSP Munish Sehgal of the RTA in Faridabad.

He warned that while the effort would go on forever, the violators would face legal action. In the morning, around thirty buses were inspected, and at noon, another thirty cars were reviewed.

According to Kailash Sharma of the parents’ association, Abhibhwak Ekta Manch, “most of the drivers of school buses and vans can be seen driving rashly,” alleging that many schools have broken the rules. Such mishaps are caused by infrequent inspections, and violators should face harsh penalties.

A district administration spokesman said that the department in question will probably be contacted for a report over the school officials’ breach of protocol in not closing the school on Eid, a gazetted holiday. It should be mentioned that yesterday was a closed day for most of the CBSE-affiliated institutions.

Five school buses in Palwal received challans from the government for breaking the rules, and three other vehicles were confiscated.

SDM-cum-In the next ten days, all district school buses will be examined, and those who violate the rules will face severe consequences, according to RTA Secretary Shashi Vasundhara. According to her, no one will be permitted to drive a school bus if it does not meet the standards or specifications established by the state government.
