Searches on Google for “Inheritance Tax” Increase After Sam Pitroda’s Divisive Remark

Congress lawmaker Sam Pitodra’s contentious statement on the US inheritance tax has ignited a national conversation in India and raised interest in the subject among Indians.

Following Pitroda’s comment, Google search interest in “Inheritance Law” has increased to its greatest point in the previous 25 years as the argument intensified due to the back-and-forth between the Congress and BJP.

According to Google Trends predictions, on Thursday morning in India, the number of searches for the term “inheritance Tax” reached its highest level since 2004.

In a similar vein, internet users were drawn to Indian Overseas Congress chief Sam Pitroda, as seen by the greatest search traffic for him in the previous five years.

In response to PM Modi’s “redistribute wealth remark,” union chief Sam Pitorda of the Indian Overseas Congress explained to the uninitiated that the US has an inheritance tax, meaning that the government receives 55% of an individual’s fortune rather than their offspring.

Pitroda’s “opinions” were immediately disowned by the Congress party, which is trying to win a lot of seats in the current Lok Sabha election. However, this move swiftly spiraled out of control as PM Modi accused the party of plundering citizens. “If Zindagi ke baad bhi, then Zindagi ke saath bhi.”

Additionally, Congress said that it does not intend to impose an inheritance tax on the nation.

Seizing upon his words, Sudhanshu Trivedi, the national spokesman for the BJP, said, “Sam Pitroda has elaborated the nefarious design of the Congress.” We live in a saving-based society. In India, a family’s first generation makes a living through laborious work. That is expanded upon by the second generation, and some solace is provided for the third.

“And with Sam Pitroda talking about imposing an inheritance tax, the Congress wants to snatch away that happiness and peace from the people,” he argued.
