Second-rung BRS and BJP leaders abandon ship

On Thursday, hundreds of BRS and BJP second-rung leaders joined the Congress in the presence of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and TPCC president A Revanth Reddy.

Present and former ZPTC and MPTC members, municipal chairpersons, vice-chairpersons, co-operative bank directors, chairpersons of agricultural market committees, and sarpanches from Warangal, Chevella, Mahbubnagar, and Malkajgiri constituencies were among those who joined the grand old party (GOP).

Attendees included MP G Ranjith Reddy of the Congress, Patnam Suneetha Mahender Reddy, Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy, and MLA Kadiyam Srihari, who are running for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Kolan Neela Gopal Reddy, the mayor of Nizampet and daughter of former BRS MLA Kanaka Reddy, joined the Congress as well.

The chief minister was visited by NSUI representatives from Hyderabad Central University, who extended an invitation to attend the varsity’s Ugadi festivities. On this occasion, the CM unveiled a poster detailing the NSUI’s Ugadi festivities.
