‘Security concerns’ led to the driver of Joe Biden’s convoy being detained at Delhi’s Taj Hotel during the G20 summit.

According to reports, a driver in US Vice President Joe Biden’s convoy was arrested on Saturday in New Delhi for “negligent driving”. According to reports, he was subsequently released following interrogation.

According to a story in India Today, which cited unnamed sources, the incident took place when the G20 Summit was taking place and one of the vehicles from the American President’s convoy entered the Taj Hotel, where Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates, was staying.

According to reports, the driver was unaware of the process. He said that he was scheduled to be to the ITC Maurya, where Biden was staying, around 9.30 am during interrogation.

However, according to the story, the driver arrived at the Taj because he needed to drop off a businessman there who he had picked up from the Lodhi Estate neighborhood. The report also added that the security personnel stationed there had flashed a warning since the vehicle had multiple stickers on it.

LEAVES FOR VIETNAM BIDEN

Joe Biden departed for Vietnam after visiting Mahatma Gandhi’s monument at Rajghat in New Delhi on Sunday morning with many other G20 participants.

Biden traveled to India for the first time as US President on Friday to attend the two-day G20 conference. On Saturday, he met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Modi and Biden welcomed progress in India’s acquisition of 31 drones and the cooperative development of jet engines during their more than 50-minute discussions, promising to “deepen and diversify” the bilateral major defense collaboration. On Saturday, Biden took part in several crucial G20 Summit sessions.

The US President’s visit to Vietnam is an indication of how rivalry with China is altering alliances across Asia. Vietnam is seeking to significantly increase commerce with the US.

Vietnam is raising the United States to the position of becoming a complete strategic partner, something about which the president has expressed pride. China and Russia are among the other nations to whom Vietnam has extended this title.

Biden sees a chance to draw other countries, including Vietnam and Cambodia, into America’s circle as a result of China’s own economic downturn and President Xi Jinping’s consolidation of political power.
