Meeting KCR, Praveen Kumar steps down as state head of the BSP Telangana

On Saturday, RS Praveen Kumar, a former officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS), abruptly resigned from his position as the head of the BSP’s Telangana branch.

Praveen Kumar announced his intention to resign as state president of the BSP on X, previously Twitter. With a sad heart, he tweeted that he was doing this.

Concerns were also raised by Praveen Kumar, who claimed that it was inappropriate for the BJP to have arrested BRS MLC K Kavitha in an effort to sabotage the coalition.

After resigning, Praveen Kumar had a two-hour conversation with former chief minister and leader of the BRS, K Chandrasekhar Rao, at his Banjara Hills home.

Later, in a statement to the media, Praveen Kumar thanked BSP national president Mayawati for giving him the opportunity to run in the most recent Assembly elections and for giving him duties. He pledged to support KCR and said that the BJP was forcing him to end the coalition with BRS.

The BSP, however, said that party officials and cadres were unenthusiastic about the cooperation with BRS and that many of them showed little interest in working together.

It was just a matter of time, according to BRS insiders, until Praveen Kumar joined the pink party. It is anticipated that KCR would field him from Nagarkurnool, which would be beneficial for Praveen Kumar and the BRS.

Furthermore, late on Saturday, Usha Dasari, the BSP candidate from Peddapalli in the Assembly elections, declared her intention to leave the party.
