Student freed after four guys kidnapped him

Yesterday, it is said that a student from a neighboring school in Dhandari Kalan was abducted from outside the building, assaulted, and then dumped into a nearby piece of land.

Later, the victim filed a complaint with the Sahnewal police station’s Kanganwal police Chowki. A case has not yet been filed; the police are still investigating the situation.

Vicky Kumar, a Class X student at SGD Grammar School, Dhandari Kalan, and a resident of New Ram Nagar, Eastman Chowk, has filed a police complaint alleging that four boys, Harsh, Raman, Manjit, and Sumit, abducted him from outside the school in a car, took him to a nearby ground where they beat him, and then released him when the complainant raised the alarm, close to Giaspura. Later, his family who were billeting close to his residence, took him to a doctor for treatment. In preparation for their daughter’s marriage, his parents had traveled to their hometown in Bihar.

In the meantime, a CCTV clip showing the youngster being dragged away by the perpetrators in a Maruti Swift is circulating on social media. The complainant was heard in it claiming that the suspects had accused him of making a fictitious account on a social networking site and using it to send lewd messages to ladies. They did not provide any evidence when he responded by demanding proof of the same. They severely thrashed him and dumped him close to Giaspura.

Sources claim that when the complainant attempted to use the purportedly fictitious account to send some lewd messages to a relative of one of the kidnappers, he and his companions attempted to discipline the lad.

Vicky Kumar, a student in Class X, had complained to Chowki in-charge, Kanganwal, Jasvir Singh, about being kidnapped by four guys. The situation is still being investigated, according to Sahnewal SHO Guljinderjit Singh, and a case will be filed in line with that finding. — OC
