SVEEP selfie stations will be available in Dharamsala during IPL games

The District Election Department has devised a strategy to raise voter awareness for the projected May 5 and May 9 IPL cricket games at Dharamsala Cricket Stadium.

Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa, the district election officer, said that appropriate measures will be taken to raise awareness during the IPL matches as part of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Program.

The DC said that there will be selfie stations positioned in several parking lots and in the vicinity of the stadium. In addition, the organizers had been given the go-ahead to play voter awareness songs throughout the game.

He asserted that voting was both a responsibility and a right. He went on to say that after five years, this celebration of voting is a must for a robust democracy.

He urged every person to make sure that everyone votes and takes part in the democratic celebration in their neighborhood.

The DC said that a number of initiatives had been launched under the SVEEP to raise the district of Kangra’s voting rate.
