TDP’s first list of candidates for LS elections includes two YSRCP turncoats

AMARAVATI: The TDP unveiled its first list of 13 candidates for the Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha elections on Friday. Among them were two YSR Congress MPs who had recently left the party. The party, headed by former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, also unveiled the TDP’s third list of candidates for 11 more Assembly seats.
On May 13, the state’s Assembly elections will take place concurrently with the Lok Sabha elections.

While V Prabhakar Reddy, a YSRCP Rajya Sabha member, would run from Nellore, L Sri Krishna Devarayulu, a member of the Lok Sabha representing Narasaraopeta, would run from the same seat.
Thirteen Lok Sabha seats and 139 Assembly seats have seen the TDP declare candidates so far.
It is scheduled that candidates be named for four Lok Sabha seats and five more Assembly seats. As a component of the Andhra Pradesh NDA, the TDP will run for 17 Lok Sabha seats and 144 Assembly segments.
A formula for seat-sharing for the parliamentary and assembly elections was recently established by NDA constituents. According to this formula, the TDP would compete for 17 Parliamentary and 144 Assembly seats, while the BJP would run for six Lok Sabha and 10 Assembly seats.
Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena will run for 21 Assembly seats and two Lok Sabha seats as part of the agreement.
There are 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats available for Andhra Pradesh.
