Ranchi Will Get Another New Medical School Using the RIMS Model: CM

Hemant Soren, the chief minister of Jharkhand, said on Wednesday that Ranchi will get a second new medical school after the model of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), the top health facility in the state.

Along with distributing appointment letters to 38 newly appointed dentists, he was speaking at a ceremony here to introduce 206 new ambulances. According to Soren, “Another new medical college will be established in Ranchi on the model of RIMS where efforts would be made to provide world-class medical facilities.”

The 206 ambulances are divided into 131 with basic life support systems and 51 with advanced life support systems. The chief minister also unveiled the Mamta Vahan App, the critical illness program, and the Ayushman App in addition to launching five medical mobile units.

According to him, the objective of adding a medical school and other facilities is to equalize access to healthcare for both the wealthy and the underprivileged. He said that attempts will be made to reinstate the ability for pharmacy shops to be found not just in panchayats but also in every hamlet. The administration has already resolved to build drug stores at the panchayat level.

He said that this would enable young people to work for themselves. He also said that Jharkhand is the only state in the nation where the state government offers affordable air ambulance services to regular folks. If BPL families need an air ambulance, this resource will be made available to them as well as to privileged individuals. He declared that the state’s medical facilities will be improved.
