Telangana: Following a fight caused by an arrow, Madhavi Latha apologizes

Following controversy over a video footage in which she is seen pointing an imaginary arrow at a mosque during the Rama Navami parade on Wednesday, K Madhavi Latha, the BJP candidate for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat, expressed an apologies for hurting anyone’s feelings on Thursday.

The event happened on April 17 as the BJP candidate was riding in the procession close to Siddiamber Bazar.

On X (formerly Twitter), Latha apologized and provided clarity, writing, “It has come to my notice that one of my videos is being circulated in the media to create negativity.” I want to make it clear that the video is not full, and I sincerely apologize if this has offended anybody. I value every person.

Latha, a newcomer to politics, is running against Asaduddin Owaisi, head of AIMIM.

In response to the video footage on Thursday, Owaisi called Latha’s conduct offensive, aggressive, and nasty.

He said that the goal of the BJP and RSS is to ruin Hyderabad’s tranquil environment.

“They used to just mistreat me, but now they are acting in such a (derogatory) way toward? In front of a holy building, their members are acting in a disrespectful, provocative, and confrontational manner. You can only image what would have occurred if I had committed the same conduct,” Owaisi said.
