Telangana: In order to serve all customers, the Water Board will put 50 small tankers into duty

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) has made the decision to buy fifty three-liter stainless steel micro water tankers that will be placed atop compact cars and shortly be used in the twin cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad. Due of their inability to maneuver via tight roadways, huge 5,000-liter tanks will be stationed in low-income neighborhoods.

These will be helpful in areas where water is delivered that is contaminated as well as for small households that do not need big tanks. According to officials, within a month of the order’s issuance, agencies have been asked by the HMWS&SB to develop, supply, and deliver BS VI model chassis mounted on a tiny tanker.

Water Board officials informed TNIE that some borewells in the Greater Hyderabad boundaries had dried up as a consequence of groundwater levels dropping, which has raised demand for water tankers.

The Water Board also decided to produce MS water tankers during meetings at the HMWS&SB office, which were chaired by MAUD Principal Secretary M Dana Kishore, according to the officials. These tankers will be made available for hire under the “Dial-A-Tanker” program to interested parties.

Additionally, the Water Board has chosen to switch from free and free-cum-payment systems to the specific Dial-A-Tanker plan for already operating water tankers. In addition, water camps set up by HMWS&SB and other social service organizations across Hyderabad will get supplies from these tankers.

A three-millimeter-thick plate, a hose pipe with a diameter of 90 to 110 mm, 10 meters of hose pipe, a carry stand for the hose pipe appropriate for the HMWS&SB mini tanker model with the required length and logo, all accessories, and the finished shape as instructed by HMWS&SB will be attached to the stainless steel tank.
