Thane Girl Kidnapped on Local Train, Saved in Satara; Boyfriend Held

According to the Government Railway Police (GRP), a 17-year-old woman was reportedly abducted by her lover as she was on a local train from Badlapur in the Thane district of Maharashtra.

The occurrence happened on October 12. They said that the girl’s 19-year-old boyfriend has been detained and that she was subsequently found in a hamlet in the Satara area, which is more than 250 miles away.

On October 12, the teenager was traveling alone on a local train from Badlapur to Vikhroli in nearby Mumbai when she vanished.

A complaint of abduction was subsequently filed when her family members contacted the Kalyan GRP, according to senior police inspector Arshuddin Sheikh of the GRP.

The authorities learned throughout their investigation that the girl’s male acquaintance had abducted her after luring her. After speaking with acquaintances of both the girl and the guy, the authorities learned that they were both in Satara’s Shendre hamlet.

On Sunday, a police crew arrived in the area and found her standing beside a road. According to the official, the accused guy emerged from a nearby residence while the police were questioning her, and he was apprehended.

He said that the police had taken both of them to Thane and turned them over to the Kalyan GRP, where the complaint had been filed.
