The chief priest of the Ram Temple said, “Those who oppose Lord Ram are roaming the streets”

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official invitation to the consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, opposition leaders have questioned whether the occasion will be reduced to a mere party function ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. This has sparked a political backlash.

The main priest of the Ram Mandir, Acharya Satyendra Das, criticized the statements made by the opposition leaders, stating that individuals speak from their mentality. While the consecration ritual is an act of faith and commitment, Sanjay Raut is limited to seeing just elections.

People speak according to their mentality. All Sanjay Raut sees are elections. The PM has been asked to participate in the pran pratishtha, which is an issue of religion, belief, and dedication. He had also carried out the bhumi pujan and the groundbreaking ceremony before. With the temple almost completed and its pran pratishtha scheduled on January 22, 2024, the PM has been invited, and he has accepted. This is about dedication and conviction, not about making sacrifices,” he told the news agency ANI.

Das went on to say that while PM Modi is in power because of the blessings of Lord Ram, there are still those who reject the existence of Lord Ram and would do so.

“Politics and elections will come and go, but all political parties should realize that the Prime Minister is blessed by Lord Ram. He is in power and always will be because of this. “Those who are against Lord Ram are out there on the streets and they will stay out there,” he said.

Sanjay Raut, the head of the Shiv Sena (UBT), poked fun at Prime Minister Modi earlier today, stating that he could visit wherever except Manipur and that there was no need to invite him to Ayodhya since he would have there on his own.

“The Prime Minister does not need to be invited. He was going alone. Being the PM, he would undoubtedly attend. Why would someone abandon a major event like this? With the exception of Manipur, PM Modi is free to go to Israel or Gaza, according to Raut.

Congressman Salman Khurshid also inquired as to whether the invitation was being extended to only one party. Is this turning into a party event already? All people belong to God. The invitation ought to have reached each and every person. If nothing else, they need to have said unequivocally that everyone is welcomed. I have not encountered any such assertion,” Khurshid said.

On Wednesday, PM Modi received an invitation from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust to install the idol of Lord Ram in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Lala temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024. Accepting the invitation, PM Modi expressed gratitude for his good fortune to be there at such a momentous event.
