The Himachal Congress complains to the police over online health rumors circulating around CM Sukhu

The chief minister of Himachal Pradesh’s health was the subject of internet rumors that the Himachal Pradesh Congress reported to the police on Friday. Baldev Thakur, the state congress secretary, complained to Shimla’s chief of police Sanjeev Gandhi that misinformation regarding Sukhu’s health was being circulated on social media. He stated that a social media website spread incorrect information about the CM seeking medical treatment overseas.

This, according to Baldev, was carried out as a deliberate act of malice towards Sukhu. “The chief minister has been putting in 16 hours each day to help the victims of the calamity. The chief minister has received accolades from the World Bank, NITI Aayog, and BJP veteran Shanta Kumar for his efforts, but some cunning individuals are purposefully attempting to confuse and mislead people, the speaker remarked.

He recommended that the police locate social media sites that were publishing fake news and take harsh action against those responsible.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sukhu said that the state government will provide borrowers who have been impacted by extreme rain and flooding an interest subvention facility.

“To provide borrowers the much-needed assistance, the State-Level Bankers Committee would offer interest subvention options in agreement with the RBI. According to him, the state administration has made the decision to restructure debts in light of the difficulties encountered by borrowers in regions that were devastated by unusually high rain that also caused flash floods and landslides.

Following the state’s designation as a natural disaster-affected territory on August 18, according to Sukhu, discussions with banks led to the finalization of these crucial steps.

“This initiative focuses on rescheduling all types of existing loans, including those taken by micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), retailers, and others, excluding advances related to agriculture and allied activities,” he said.
