The oldest voter in Haryana, Dharamveer of Palwal, is 118 years old

According to State Chief Electoral Officer Anurag Agarwal, “Chunav ka Parv Desh ka Garv,” the election celebration, has started with the start of the 18th Lok Sabha General Election. On May 25, the state will host the sixth round of voting.

He claimed the oldest voter in Haryana is Dharamveer (118), from Palwal district. Balbir Kaur from the Sirsa district, Bhagwani from the Sonepat district, Lakkhishek from the Panipat district, Chandro Kaur from the Rohtak district, Rani from the Fatehabad district, Antidevi from the Kurukshetra district, Sarjit Kaur, and Chobi Devi 111 are all 117 years old.

Likewise, the districts of Narayani in Rewari, Fulla in Kaithal, Chanderi Devi in Faridabad, Ramdevi in Jind, Hari in Nuh, Meva Devi in Jhajjar, Gulzar Singh in Karnal, Shadkin and Shriram in Hisar, and Geena Devi in Charkhi Dadri stand at 110, 109, and 106 respectively. Phoolwati of Yamunanagar is 100 years old, while Hardei of Bhiwani district is 103.

In order for younger voters to draw inspiration from these senior voters, Agarwal urged the media to print and air interviews with them.

According to him, the symbol of the Jhajjar district is Palak, who won gold in shooting at the Asian Games 2023, while the symbol of the Faridabad district is Adarsh Singh, who took home silver in shooting in the 19th Asian Games. Icons of the Panipat district include Suman Devi, who placed third in the 19th Senior Para Powerlifting Championship, and Yashika, who competed for the state squad in the National School Games in Bhopal.

The symbols of the Ambala and Sonepat districts are Sarabjot Singh, who won silver in shooting at the 19th Asian Games, and Sonam Malik, who took home gold in the World Championship.
