The UGC has identified 20 phony institutions in India; here’s how to report them

On Wednesday, the University Grants Commission (UGC) made a decision that could impact many students throughout India. They made it known that there are 20 fake universities in the nation. In other words, they’re forgeries. These bogus institutions are not permitted to provide degrees, thus students should not expect to get a legitimate degree from them.

1. Guntur Christ New Testament Deemed University

2. The Bible Open University of India, located near Visakhapatnam.

3. Alipur’s All India Institute of Public and Physical Health Sciences (AIIPHS).

6. Delhi Vocational University

New Delhi’s ADR-Centric Juridical University

9. Viswakarma Open University in Delhi for Self-Employment

Badaganvi Sarkar No. 11 Belgaum World Open University Education Society

Kishanattam’s St. John’s University is number twelve.

Nagpur’s Raja Arabic University is number thirteen.

The UGC advises everyone, particularly parents and students, to be wary of these institutions. They make it quite apparent that only universities established under particular Acts or approved institutions are permitted to award degrees. The UGC has discovered that certain colleges are breaking the regulations and awarding degrees that do not count. The Secretary of the UGC, Prof. Manish R. Joshi, indicated that degrees from these bogus institutions would be worthless. “Don’t bother with degrees from these places; they won’t help you,” he remarked. If you’re wondering where these fraudulent institutions are, there are two in Andhra Pradesh, eight in Delhi, one each in Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Puducherry, and four in Uttar Pradesh and two in West Bengal.
