There will be 25 all-woman booths set up in Una

In Una district, 516 polling places will be set up by the Election Department to ensure a seamless general election. Of these, only women will work in polling and security duties at 25 of the booths. Additionally, one booth with poll workers under 30 years old will be designated as “young” in each of the five Assembly segments.

302 booths—54 of which fell into the important booth category—would have live webcasting capabilities, according to Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal. According to him, 4,28,589 people have registered in the Una district, and additional voter registration will be accepted until May 4. He indicated that minors who were at least eighteen on April 1st might register their names on the local voter lists.

The DC said that the district will also see the installation of one “green, eco-friendly” polling station and twenty “model polling stations.” He said that there will be five counting sites set up at the Government Post Graduate College in Una for the vote counting. In addition, two more stations will be set up for the Kutlehar and Gagret Assembly byelection vote counting.

The DC also said that poll workers have the option to vote by mail, but in order to do so, they must register by bringing Form 12-D to the office of their local returning officer. This resource is also available to health officers, paramedics, ambulance service providers, drivers and conductors of long-distance state highway buses, representatives of milk cooperatives, certified media representatives, and others performing critical services.

According to the DC, rigorous security measures are being maintained surrounding the strong rooms that have been set up at various places around the district, and the EVM and VVPAT machines that will be used during the polls have been kept in safe custody.
