This Kurnool athlete with a disability has won several medals in the javelin throw

In 1948, a small gathering of British World War II veterans gave rise to the Paralympics. It has grown into one of the biggest international athletic competitions over time. With 4,520 participants from 163 National Paralympic Committees, the 2020 Summer Paralympics demonstrated their worldwide prominence in the early 21st century.

Many athletes with disabilities want to compete in the Paralympic Games and bring honors home for their nation. Amar Sainadh from Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh is one of the thousands of such candidates. Despite suffering a childhood accident that left his left hand paralyzed, Amar’s unmatched skill in the javelin throw has made him a beloved figure in Kurnool.

Born in Kurnool district to Chandrasekhar and Uma Maheshwari, Amar Sainadh had a childhood accident that left him permanently devoid of a left hand. Still, he runs with confidence and unshakable fearlessness, winning the respect of all around him. He ended his education at APR JC College in the Chittoor region in 2017 after completing his 10th standard in 2015. He received a Divyang quota engineering seat at G Pullaiah College in Kurnool.

He graduated from G Pullaiah College with a B.Tech degree, proving his intellectual prowess. He then managed to get a job at TCS Software, where he spent a short time working. But he didn’t give up on his love of sports, driven by his mother Umadevi’s goals. Rather, he dabbled in para-athletics and showed incredible skill in javelin throw events.

Through consistent daily practice, Amar Sainadh won gold medals in events at the district, state, and national levels. His ultimate goal is to participate in the Paralympic Games and win the gold medal in paraathletics javelin throw. Driven by his mother’s aspirations, Amar trains diligently in order to do this.
