Three new Vande Bharat trains are delivered to UP, while another is extended

On Tuesday, using virtual means, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for many Indian Railways projects valued at Rs 85,000 crore.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath thanked PM Modi for starting three new Vande Bharat trains in Uttar Pradesh and extending the Lucknow-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat train to Prayagraj. Adityanath took part in the event virtually from his official home in Lucknow.

Notably, PM Modi gave the nation up to ten brand-new Vande Bharat trains in honor of the event. Among them, he also signaled the start of the Vande Bharat trains that go from Ranchi to Varanasi, Patna to Lucknow, and Dehradun to Lucknow. Furthermore, Prayagraj has been added to the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express route. In order to expedite the transit of goods, trains carrying cargo from the designated freight route were also signaled off during the event.

On social networking site X, the chief minister thanked Prime Minister Modi and said that the planned train projects will quicken the country’s growth.

PM Modi emphasized at the event that the country has made great progress toward realizing a “Viksit Bharat.” He emphasized the foundation-laying and inauguration of projects worth more over Rs 1 lakh crore, including over Rs 85 thousand crores in railway projects alone.

“The Central Government is expanding the number of Vande Bharat trains as well as their routes,” Prime Minister Modi said, taking into account the views of the population. The Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express will now proceed to Prayagraj in this order.

The PM emphasized the importance of the new trains and the extension of the Lucknow-Varanasi line to Prayagraj in light of the upcoming 2025 Kumbh Mela. Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi brought up the Aastha special trains to Ayodhya, saying that the government is encouraging faith-based tourism by embracing the development and heritage motto.

“Bharat Gaurav trains are now operating around the nation on the Jain Yatra, Gurukripa Circuit, and Ramayana Circuit. In addition, Aastha special trains transport followers of Ram to Ayodhya from all around the nation. Over 4.5 lakh devotees have had the darshan of Shri Ram Lala via the approximately 350 Aastha trains that have run so far, he added.
