To launch a new party with Swami Prasad Maurya?

A leading member of the Samajwadi Party Swami Prasad Maurya may start a new party. He resigned as National General Secretary of the Samajwadi Party, claiming neglect inside the organization.

According to a social media post by Maurya, the new party has a name and flag.

On February 22, he will speak at a rally at Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium. The Rashtriya Shoshit Samaj Party will be the new party’s name. The colors blue, red, and green will be used on its flag.

Senior SP leader Ram Govind Chaudhary has visited Maurya at home in an attempt to persuade him to stay in the SP and refrain from forming a new political party.

Swami remained silent about his choice to start a new party, however.

Maurya recently resigned from the party’s position as National General Secretary, citing neglect in the SP. He had written to Akhilesh Yadav stating that he supported social justice and that Drs. Bhimrao Ambedkar and Ram Manohar Lohia had adopted the 85 vs 15 mantra. However, he has said that the Samajwadi Party keeps making this slogan ineffectual.

Akhilesh Yadav, the head of the Samajwadi Party, attempted to downplay the significance of Swami’s departure from his position by stating that it was a party matter and will be settled peacefully.

Akhilesh responded on social media to Maurya’s suggestion of a new political party by asking, “How can anyone know about what others have in their minds?”

Without naming anybody, he informed the media that a number of individuals profit from the party before splitting apart for their own reasons.

He declined to comment more on the situation.
