Today, PM Modi will go to Ayodhya to lay the groundwork for many projects totaling more than Rs 15,000 crore

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Ayodhya to officially launch a number of projects totaling more than Rs 15,000 crore. The Prime Minister will unveil the renovated Ayodhya Railway Station and launch the new Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat trains at about 11:15 AM.

In addition, he plans to contribute many more railway projects to the country. The newly constructed Ayodhya Airport will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister at about 12:15 PM.

The Prime Minister will take part in a public event at about 1:00 PM, during which he will declare open, pay tribute to the country, and lay the cornerstone for many state-funded development projects totaling more than Rs 15,000 crore.

Approximately Rs 11,100 crore of these projects are for the development of Ayodhya and its environs, while approximately Rs 4600 crore are for other projects across Uttar Pradesh.

“Our government is determined to develop world-class infrastructure, improve connectivity, and preserve the rich heritage of Ayodhya, the city of Lord Shri Ram,” Prime Minister Modi said in a post on X on Friday. Tomorrow, I will officially open the recently built airport and renovated train station in this direction. In addition, I shall have the honor of launching and planting the cornerstone for several more development initiatives that will improve my family’s quality of life across the nation, especially in Ayodhya and Uttar Pradesh.”

The goal of the prime minister’s strategy for Ayodhya is to build cutting-edge, contemporary infrastructure while maintaining the city’s rich cultural legacy and improving connectivity. A new airport, a refurbished railway station, freshly constructed, enlarged, and beautifully designed roadways, as well as other municipal infrastructure, are being launched in the city to realize this ambition.

Additionally, the groundwork for a number of new initiatives that will improve the aesthetics and upkeep of public spaces in and around Ayodhya will be set. Ayodhya Airport: Over Rs 1450 crore was spent on the development of Phase 1 of this cutting-edge airport.

The airport’s 6500 square meter terminal building will be able to accommodate around 10 lakh passengers a year. The Terminal Building’s front is a representation of the Shri Ram Mandir of Ayodhya’s future temple design. The terminal building’s interiors are embellished with regional artwork, including paintings and murals that portray Bhagwan Shri Ram’s life.

In order to meet GRIHA’s 5-star ratings, the Ayodhya airport terminal building is also outfitted with a number of sustainable features, including an insulated roofing system, LED lighting, rainwater harvesting, fountain-filled landscaping, a water treatment plant, a sewage treatment plant, a solar power plant, and many more.

The airport will increase the area’s connectivity, which will promote commerce, tourism, and job prospects. Station for Ayodhya Dham RailwayOver Rs 240 crore was spent on the development of Phase I of the renovated Ayodhya Railway Station, also known as Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station.

The three-story, contemporary train station building has all the amenities of today, including cloakrooms, childcare areas, food plazas, escalators, elevators, and stores for puja supplies. The station building will be “green station building certified by IGBC” and “accessible for all.”

Train projects: Amrit Bharat, Vande Bharat, and othersThe Prime Minister will launch the Amrit Bharat Express, a new class of very fast passenger trains in the nation, at the event at Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station. The Amrit Bharat train is an LHB push-pull train with carriages that do not have air conditioning.

There are locos on each end of this train to improve acceleration. More amenities for train passengers include well-designed seats, better baggage racks, LED lighting, CCTV, public information systems, and mobile charging stations with appropriate holders.

Six new Vande Bharat trains will also be inaugurated by the prime minister.The two new Amrit Bharat trains, the Malda Town-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminus (Bengaluru) Amrit Bharat Express and the Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express, will be inaugurated by the prime minister.

Six new Vande Bharat Trains will also be inaugurated by the prime minister. These include the Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Vande Bharat Express, the Jalna-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express, the Mangalore-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express, the Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express, the Coimbatore-Bangalore Cantt Vande Bharat Express, and the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express. Additionally, the prime minister will donate three railway projects totaling Rs. 2300 crore to the country in order to improve the train infrastructure in the area.

The projects include the Rooma Chakeri-Chanderi third line project; the Jaunpur-Ayodhya-Barabanki doubling project; the Malhaur-Daliganj railway section; and the Jaunpur-Tulsi Nagar, Akbarpur-Ayodhya, Sohawal-Patranga, and Safdarganj-Rasauli sections.

Ayodhya’s improved municipal infrastructureThe Prime Minister will open four recently renovated, enlarged, and beautifully landscaped roadways in Ayodhya—Rampath, Bhaktipath, Dharampath, and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path—to improve accessibility to the forthcoming Shri Ram Mandir. The Prime Minister will also unveil and dedicate to the country many initiatives aimed at improving Ayodhya’s public spaces and fortifying its municipal infrastructure.

The Rajarshi Dashrath Autonomous State Medical College, the solid waste treatment plant in the village of Pikhrauli, the four-lane road connecting Ayodhya-Sultanpur Road-Airport, the several beautifully landscaped roads throughout the city and the Ayodhya bypass, the Jagdishpur-Faizabad section of NH-330A, the widening and strengthening of the Maholi-Baragaon-Deodhi road and the Jasarpur-Bhaupur-Gangaraman-Sureshnagar road, the ROB at the Badi Bua Railway Crossing on Panchkosi Parikrama Marg, the solid waste treatment plant in the village of Pikhrauli, and more are among the inaugurated projects.

In addition, the prime minister will officially open five parking and commercial facilities as well as projects connected to the Mukhyamantri Nagar Srijan Yojana. The cornerstone of Ayodhya’s new initiativesThe prime minister will also set the groundwork for new initiatives that will support Ayodhya’s rich cultural legacy while also aiding in the renovation of the city’s public spaces.

Four historical entrance gates in Ayodhya have been preserved and made more beautiful. New concrete ghats between the Guptar and Raj ghats and the restoration of pre-existing ghats are also being worked on. Tourist facilities from Naya Ghat to Laxman Ghat are being developed and made more attractive. A visitor gallery for Deepotsav and other fairs at Ram Ki Paidi is being built, and the pilgrim path from Ram Ki Paidi to Raj Ghat and Raj Ghat to Ram Temple has been strengthened and renovated.

The Prime Minister will lay the cornerstone for the Vashishtha Kunj Residential Scheme, which will be created at a cost of around Rs 300 crore, and a greenfield township in Ayodhya, which will be developed at a cost of more than Rs 2180 crore.

In addition, the Prime Minister will dedicate a new section of NH-28 (new NH-27) between Lucknow and Ayodhya, reinforce and modify the current NH-28 (new NH-27) Ayodhya bypass, establish the CIPET center in Ayodhya, and begin building the Municipal Corporation Ayodhya and Ayodhya Development Authority office.

Additional initiatives around the state of Uttar PradeshThe Prime Minister will unveil and dedicate more major projects in Uttar Pradesh to the country during the public event.

These include the strengthening and upgrading of the NH-730 from Khutar to Lakhimpur section; an expansion of the LPG plant’s capacity in Trishundi, Amethi district; sewage treatment plants with 30 MLD capacity in Pankha and 130 MLD capacity in Jajmau, Kanpur; interception and diversion of drains and sewage treatment work in Unnao district; and CETP for Tannery Cluster at Jajmau, Kanpur.
