Regarding Rahul Gandhi’s “Shakti” statement and the BJP’s “misogynistic mindset” criticism

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s statement that “we are fighting against a Shakti” has drawn criticism from BJP spokesman Shehzad Poonawala, who claims that it is both a “misogynistic mindset” and a “insult to the Hindu faith.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi “cannot win the elections without EVMs (Electronic Voting Machines),” the Congress leader said at a public gathering in Mumbai to commemorate the end of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.

In Hinduism, there is a term called ‘Shakti’. We are engaged in combat with a shakti. What exactly is that, Shakti, one wonders? The EVM contains the king’s soul. That is accurate. “The EVM and all national institutions, including the Income Tax Department, the CBI, and the ED, contain the soul of the King,” he said.

“After leaving the Congress, a prominent Maharashtra politician sobbed in front of my mother, saying, ‘Sonia ji, I am sorry that I lack the ability to oppose this Shakti. I’m not interested in going to prison. This kind of threat has been made against thousands of individuals, the MP said.

Shehzad Poonawala of the BJP responded to these remarks by saying, “Rahul Gandhi makes it very plain at Shivaji Park, in front of Uddhav Thackeray, that we are battling Shakti, the entity that is associated with Hindu dharma. This is the unrestrained hatred of Hinduism that the Congress and the INDI Alliance have.”

“As everyone is aware, A Raja, the head of the DMK, said he was battling Lord Ram when Udayanidhi Stalin called for the abolition of Sanatana Dharma, but nothing was done about it. Several members of the INDI Alliance have said that Ramcharitmanas is potassium cyanide and that Hindu dharma is a “dhokha” (fraud). From rejecting the reality of Lord Ram to claiming that Shakti doesn’t exist, the Congress party has a long history of harboring animosity against Hindus,” he said.

Rahul Gandhi allegedly made the comment in such a way that “he’s trying to denigrate the gods and goddesses of Hindu faith,” according to Poonawala.

“The remarks made by Rahul Gandhi in front of Uddhav Thackeray demonstrate the depth of their fallibility… These days, this not only belittles the Hindu religion but also demonstrates Rahul Gandhi’s sexist viewpoint, since he opposes Nari Shakti and her manifestations.”

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju also criticised Rahul Gandhi’s “Shakti” comment, stating that “there should be some limit to which a person hates the other.”

“Rahul Gandhi’s intense hatred for PM Modi Ji, and arrogant display of his family status have crossed all human limits,” he said in a tweet on Monday.

Khushbu Sundar, the head of the BJP, said that she “was not surprised” by the Congressman’s remarks.

“He has to be reminded that women identify with #Shakti. The inner power of Ma Durga and Kaali is the source of the name Shakti. The inner power that all women, including the esteemed Smt. #SoniaGandhi ji, possess. “Shakti is about bravery to overcome adversity and evil, not about Hinduism,” the user tweeted.

“Mr. Gandhi, please do your schoolwork to the best of your ability, or politely ask your team to explain a concept to you or educate you on it. It is very clear how much you detest Hinduism. Unmistakable traces of Congress’s demise.”

Rahul Gandhi has declared an open war on “Shakti,” according to BJP IT cell chairman Amit Malviya, who also criticized the Congress leader.

Rahul Gandhi discusses his battle with Shakti. In addition to being misogynistic, he is also anti-Hindu. This sums up the real nature of the INDI Alliance, headed by Congress,” he tweeted.

In a different post, Malviya said that the opposition bloc “is out to destroy Sanatan and Dharma, the essence of Bharatvarsh.”.

The head of the BJP IT Cell went on, “Hindus honor Maa Durga. Her name is Shakti. Not that we battle Shakti. Since the beginning of time, Asuras have attempted to battle Shakti but have always been vanquished.”

BJP national spokesman Ajay Alok used the hashtag #boycottgandhis while denouncing the Congress MP.

He claimed in a Hindi tweet, “Parsi-Christian children are now fighting with the ‘Shakti’ of the Hindu religion,” stressing that “this was not a fight with the BJP or (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi”.

“They should be boycotted, enough with the politics.”
