Two are detained for fabricating fictitious bail documents

A network of creating and abusing fictitious stamp documents to secure the release of prisoners on bond has been exposed by the police. Two persons under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 205, and 120B of the IPC have been taken into custody by the troops.

In an interview with The Tribune today, SP Rupinder Kaur Bhatti said that the names of the detained suspects were Jatinder Singh, also known as Sonu Sood, who lived in the Phagwara hamlet of Panchhat, and Avjinder Singh, also known as Raja, who lived in the village of Arjunwal under the Adampur police station.

According to SP Bhatti, accused Avjinder confessed to his crime in front of DSP Jaspreet Singh. He also informed the police that he had obtained Rs 12,000 from Jatinder’s mother—who was already detained in Kapurthala—in order to get release via the use of fictitious documentation.

Jatinder was hauled into custody on a production warrant, according to her. According to the SP, the apprehended accused revealed the identities of their two accomplices, Kuldip Singh, also known as Sathi, from Mehatpur in Nakodar, and Manbir Singh, also known as Mangu, from Adampur. Kuldip is still at large, but Manbir has already been booked into the Kapurthala prison.
