Two laborers perish from asphyxia

At a paint facility here on Saturday night, there were reports of a deadly gas being inhaled by two laborers, who died, and three more wounded.

The victims, Siya Ram from Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi district and Radhe from Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district, were two of five employees cleaning a tank at a paint factory near the district’s Dhatir village, according to the police complaint.

According to reports, the toxic gas in the subterranean tank caused all five of the workers who entered to pass out.

Radhe and Siya Ram were pronounced dead by the medical staff while they were being hurried to the Civil Hospital. According to a police spokesman, three more people who were named as Ashok, Rohit, and Sohit and who were in critical condition were sent to a private hospital where they are receiving treatment. He said that the police had opened an inquiry into the situation.
