Under the institute’s ink deal, chemistry students from Gurugram University may intern with IICT

In order to improve internship possibilities for students studying chemistry and related fields, Gurugram University (GU) and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)-run Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, have signed a memorandum of understanding.

Dinesh Kumar, vice-chancellor of Gurugram University On Tuesday, the MoU was signed by IICT Director Srinivas Reddy. According to the VC, GU students studying chemistry and related fields will be able to do internships at IICT in Hyderabad as part of the arrangement. Both institutions have created a set of norms (criteria) for this.

These criteria will be used to choose which students would get internships at IICT. According to Vice-Chancellor Dinesh, students will get guidance from specialists from both institutions on how to get a spot for an internship at the IICT. V-C Dinesh stated that students will get training at the IICT to gain understanding of sophisticated research approaches.

As per the agreement, GU students and IICT scientists would collaborate on research projects and educational initiatives, including as faculty visits, guest lectures, library access, and more. Senior professor Sarla Balachandran of GU said that the partnership between the two universities will help students become competent scientists.
