UP Assembly Speaker Requests Oppn’s Assistance for Effective House Procedures

Speaker Satish Mahana requested all party leaders’ assistance on Sunday, the eve of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly’s Monsoon session, to ensure that the House ran smoothly. He said that through conversation and constructive debate, democracy is strengthened.

According to a statement released by the assembly, Mahana was addressing during an all-party meeting held at Vidhan Bhavan here, which was also attended by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna.

The speaker urged all party leaders to present their arguments in the House politely and in accordance with parliamentary protocol.

Mahana said that constructive communication and debate within the legislative system improve democracy.

The smooth functioning of the House was something that Chief Minister Adityanath and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Khanna also requested from all parties.

All members should engage in productive discourse in the legislature, according to Adityanath.

All party leaders were asked to compile a list of their respective MLAs and give them a chance to speak.

All party leaders received assurances from Khanna that the administration would work diligently to rekindle and advance the state’s growth.

He said that the administration is dedicated to solving all problems.

Adityanath inaugurated the assembly’s freshly built digital corridor and the second floor’s restored gallery earlier on Sunday.

In addition, he opened the BJP parliamentary party’s new office and issued a book to commemorate Mahana’s one-year presidency.
