“Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s All India Organising Secretary, Milind Parande, Urges Voters To Support Parties That Support Hindus”

Mumbai: Across the country, thousands of supporters of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), a front group of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), have gone door-to-door, urging people to support the only political party that represents Hindu interests. Votes under the Bharatiya Janata Party’s name are not expressly requested by the cadres of the BJP.. However, the message is still being received. In an exclusive interview with the FPJ on Friday, Milind Parande, the All India organising secretary of the VHP, said that the Parishad has been getting a “very good response” for the effort.

He said that the current parliamentary elections are significant and would shape India’s destiny for many years to come. According to him, there has been a “tremendous awakening” in Hindu society at the time of the votes. “At this point in time, no political party can successfully mistreat Hindus while engaging in national politics. He said that among Hindus, there has been a good shift at the grassroots level in the form of more knowledge. What Hindus can do when they band together is shown by the erection of the Ramjanmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya after decades of struggle, the enactment of the CAA, the removal of Article 370, and other actions.

He said that this is the exact reason why certain forces, both domestically and internationally, have banded together to obstruct the growth of Hindu society and are making every effort to frustrate the goals of millions of Hindus. He said that it is imperative to meet this challenge and that it is “in the interest of Hindus which is the same as national interest” to oppose these forces with all out effort.

During his recent trip to West Bengal, Parande noted that despite the state having been dominated by Marxists for many decades and having Mamata Banerjee constantly “hurting and abusing Hindus,” there has been a significant increase in the number of Hindus. Six lakh people participated in the Shobha Yatra in Siliguri during the most recent Ram Navami festivities. One lakh participants participated in the parade at Naxalbari, the birthplace of the Naxalite movement. This is historic and bodes good for Hindus in Bengal,” he said. Because the stakes are so high for them this time around, the VHP is teaching Hindus all throughout India that voting is not a right but a responsibility. The NOTA option is also opposed by the VHP “because it resulted in the waste of precious votes.”

Plans of VHP For National Hindu Interests

Parande said that the VHP has preparations in place to advance Hindu interests regardless of the outcome of the elections. One major item on the agenda, for example, was the release of temples from government authority. A think tank consisting of eminent attorneys, retired judges, and other specialists is being established with the objective of proposing a management framework for the upkeep of temples across India. Additionally, a conflict resolution process will be established so that issues pertaining to temple management, etc., may be settled out of court by mutual agreement.

The VHP will also call for the enactment of a robust anti-religious conversion legislation that covers the whole country in order to put a stop to conversions, especially love-jihad, which are being carried out by special interests with assistance from outside. The “samajik samarasta” (social unity) campaign will be strengthened in an effort to unite Hindus, and a campaign to combat the negative effects of casteism, dowries, and other social ills will be launched. “The VHP has been working relentlessly to advance and protect Hindu interests for 60 years, having completed over 5,000 service projects. These initiatives will get further support in the next years in an effort to internally fortify the country,” he said.
