Watch: Rahul Gandhi Pays Cash for ‘Brother’ Stalin’s’ Mysore Pak Purchase

A video showing Rahul Gandhi personally purchasing Mysore Pak for Chief Minister and INDIA bloc ally MK Stalin during the former’s visit to the state was released by the Congress on Friday. Stalin called Gandhi his “dear brother” at an electoral rally in Coimbatore, where the two opposition leaders spoke.

“Adding a touch of sweetness to the campaign trail in Tamil Nadu-bought some Mysore Pak for my brother Thiru Stalin,” Rahul Gandhi commented on Facebook after sharing the video.

Rahul Gandhi can be seen entering a store and purchasing a candy for the head of the DMK in the brief footage.

“Sir, for whom are you purchasing candies?” inquires a lady in the backdrop.
“My brother Stalin,” he answers.

The head of the Congress was seen paying using cash rather than the nation’s most popular payment method, UPI.

Later, before leaving the restaurant, the Congressman is seen posing for a group shot with the employees.

At the conclusion of the film, Rahul Gandhi is seen meeting Stalin and giving the head of the DMK his gift.

Stalin addressed Gandhi as “dear brother” during the Coimbatore rally, demonstrating the cordial relationship between the Congress and the DMK, which is in power.

The leader of the Dravidian party was called as an older brother by the previous head of the grand old party, who said he never refers to any other politician as his brother.
Stalin hailed Gandhi, adding that via his yatras, he learned of people’s issues and developed his party’s manifesto, calling the Congress party’s platform the “election hero.” The DMK’s advocacy of social justice is reflected in the Congress platform, he remarked.

Gandhi said the “storm is set to arrive, Narendra Modi is going to be dislodged from power.”
