When a pet owner in Noida tries to cremate a dead dog, the locals put out the fire

An unexpected instance of ‘great affection’ for their pet occurred when a family attempted to cremate their dog according to religious rites in a cremation in the Uttar Pradesh district of Gautam Budh Nagar, only to have the enraged locals stop them in the middle.

The event happened on Monday morning at the Noida Sector 113 police station’s jurisdiction, in the Sarfabad region.

A policeman reported that a family had arrived at a crematorium early in the morning to have their deceased pet cremated. “They lit the pyre after performing religious rituals and kept the dead pet’s body on the stack of wood,” the officer told The New Indian Express.

But when the villagers of Sarfabad learned that an animal was being burnt nearby, it infuriated them, and they went to the crematorium.

The procedure was interrupted by the irate townspeople, who also put out the dog’s blazing pyre, sparking a dispute between the family and the villagers. The corpse was half burned by the time the fire was put out.

After receiving a call about the event, the police showed there right away. The relatives of the departed pet and the townspeople were summoned to the police station, where they were put to sleep.

The family of the pet then consented to burying it, and the guidelines were carefully observed.
