While in Ludhiana, Sukhbir Singh Badal meets with the SAD halka in-charges

SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal paid a brief visit to the city today and maintained a low profile, although he saw almost all of the party’s well-known local officials.

One of the party officials said that the SAD candidate for the Ludhiana parliamentary constituency in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections would be named before April 22. There was disagreement among the leaders. Everyone in attendance gave suggestions and discussed the advantages and disadvantages with the party president. The party chairman will now decide on the ultimate choice in addition to Jalandhar and Hoshiarpur, the Akali leader said.

According to sources, Hira Singh Gabria, Ranjit Singh Dhillon, Vipan Kaka Sood, Maheshinder Singh Grewal, Harish Rai Dhanda, RD Sharma, Parupkar Singh Ghuman, Manpreet Singh Ayali, and SR Kler were among the leaders who visited Sukhbir today at a hotel in the Jamalpur region.

There were many rumors that the SAD will field a famous woman from Ludhiana to challenge BJP candidate Ravneet Singh Bittu fiercely, but this did not happen, according to a different party official.

“Ranjit Singh Dhillon’s name is also making the rounds, if the candidate is not from the Ramgarhia community, then Hira Singh Gabria could be chosen,” the leader said.

Remarkably, these officials did not all meet with the party president at the same time.

Sukhbir had private, quick talks at a hotel with each of the notable figures. He spent around two and a half hours here after arriving at 2:00 pm. Another Akali leader said, “We have expressed our sincere opinions regarding the leaders, and the president has to answer a call right now.
