Manohar Lal Khattar, the Chief Minister, Resigns
Nayab Saini is rumored to take his position, but top party officials have refrained from saying, so it’s unclear exactly what will happen. It is said that Central BJP leaders, including Union Minister Arjun Munda and former Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb, are supervising the state’s affairs.

The JJP, headed by Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, and the BJP are losing ground in their relationship since they were unable to come to an agreement on seat-sharing for the next Lok Sabha elections. Notably, in the 2019 elections, the BJP won all one of the state’s ten Lok Sabha seats.

Manohar Lal Khattar: An Odyssey of Leadership and Service
Childhood
Manohar Lal Khattar’s journey started with adversity as he was born into a family that had been displaced during the 1947 Indian Partition. His family moved to Baniyani hamlet in the Rohtak area after arriving in India essentially penniless. Khattar’s father and grandparents decided to become farmers in spite of the difficulties, and the family settled in the area.

Instruction
From his earliest school days, Khattar had potential. A brilliant student in both academics and extracurriculars, he dreamed of becoming a doctor. Khattar sought further education, becoming the first person in his family to go beyond Class X, in spite of demands from his family to carry on the agricultural heritage. He first studied at Delhi University and then at Neki Ram Sharma Government College in Rohtak.

The Journey of RSS & BJP
At the age of 24, Khattar joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1977. Due to his commitment and ability to lead, he was given many positions within the RSS and then the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Khattar devoted forty years of his life to public service, first as a Pracharak and then as Sangathan Mahamantri in Haryana.

Political Expedition
After Khattar was named Chairman of the Haryana Lok Sabha Election Campaign Committee in 2014, his political career took off. He ran for and won the Karnal Assembly seat, making history as the first MLA to be elected to the position of Chief Minister in Haryana. On October 26, 2014, Khattar took an oath and vowed to create a better Haryana, one that leads in many areas and serves as a model for others.

Public Employment
Khattar was dedicated to social concerns and public service throughout his career. He was the epitome of “Seva Pratham” (Service First), directing everything from social programs and humanitarian activities to relief operations following natural catastrophes. He gained appreciation and admiration for his leadership during the floods in Kakrola village and the earthquakes in Gujarat and Jammu Kashmir.

The path of Manohar Lal Khattar is proof of his tenacity, commitment, and leadership. From modest origins to his appointment as Haryana’s chief minister, Khattar’s dedication to public service and his dream of a better state have made a lasting impression on India’s political scene.
