Woman Congress MLA hurt in Rajnandgaon after being knifed by a guy in Chhattisgarh

Police in Chhattisgarh’s Rajnandgaon district said that a man assaulted Congress MLA Chhanni Chandu Sahu with a knife when he was reportedly intoxicated. They said that Khileshwar, the defendant, had been arrested.

Sahu, who represents Khujji assembly seat in the district, was attending a public event when the incident happened on Sunday night in Jodhara village inside the boundaries of Dongargaon police station, according to police.

According to early reports, Sahu was being assaulted with a knife by a guy who was supposedly intoxicated while she was on stage, a senior police officer said.

Sahu was given first aid after suffering minor wrist injuries, according to him. She was then taken to the community health center Chhuria. He stated that the suspect had been arrested and that further investigation was being conducted.

The event was denounced by Chhattisgarh’s opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which also claimed that the state’s law and order situation had crumbled. What about the protection of the general public when the representative from the governing party is not safe? The Bhupesh Baghel administration failed in this regard, according to a statement from the BJP.
