Yamunanagar, Jagadhri’s drive to self-verify property IDs is gaining momentum

Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Municipal Corporation has begun holding self-verification camps for property IDs in the regions under its authority.

The camps were hosted at Sheetal Giri School of Chitta Mandir and Singhal Dharamshala in Buria town. They began on Thursday.

The camps were held today at the Government School of Badhi Majra in Ward 12 and Ramlila Bhawan in Ward 5.

Joint Municipal Commissioner Neelam Mehra reportedly ordered authorities to assist residents in self-certifying their property IDs during a surprise tour of the camps today. 2,10,791 property IDs belonging to people whose land is within the MC’s authority are in its database. 52,377 (24.84%) of these IDs have their owners’ certification up to April 19.

Information claims that the MC teams are assisting individuals in self-certifying their IDs by going door to door in each of the 22 wards that come under its jurisdiction.

Additionally, property owners are receiving assistance with the self-certification process via Citizen Facilitation Centers, which have been established at all three of the MC’s offices in Shahid Bhagat Singh Chowk in Yamunanagar, Jhanda Chowk in Jagadhri, and Govindpuri in Yamunanagar.

“As of April 18, the MC has been holding camps to verify property identification. The goal of these camps is to guarantee that 100% of property IDs are verified by the owner, according to Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha.

According to information that is currently available, this action will assist in ensuring that property owners’ names, plot sizes, addresses, and other details are accurate so that individuals get appropriate tax bills and don’t have any issues while completing the sale and purchase registrations at the Revenue

Division.

Deputy Municipal Commissioner Vijay Pal Yadav gave the staff instructions to work more quickly.
