young person arrested for carrying a knife

Chandigarh: A resident of Sector 25 was detained by the police after he brandished a knife. The suspect, named by the police as 24-year-old Abhishek, also known as Abhi, was taken into custody close to the Punjab University campus in Sector 25. The Sector 11 police station has filed a charge under the Arms Act. TNS

Three were assaulted outside the club.

Chandigarh: In Sector 9, three people were assaulted outside a bar. Pawan Deep, a Sector 35 resident and complainant, told the police that on March 27, he and his pals were attacked close to the club by Sourabh Aneja, the proprietor of “Pipe and Barrel,” Vedant, Ajit Singh, and others. Following injuries, the complainant and his pals Hanvir Singh and Anand Khanna were taken to the Government Multi-Speciality Hospital (GMSH), located in Sector 16. At the Sector 3 police station, the police have opened a case in accordance with Sections 323, 325, 341, 506, and 34 of the IPC. TNS

Zirakpur police finds a body

Mohali: On Friday, a middle-aged man’s corpse was discovered unidentifiable on a road close to Maya Garden Magnesia in Zirakpur. The corpse was taken by the police, who placed it in the Dera Bassi Civil Hospital morgue.

A guy, 33, commits suicide.

Zirakpur: On Friday, a 33-year-old man committed himself in the shantytowns close to Vrindavan Garden Society. Hardoi native Surjan Lal, the victim, worked for himself. Following the postmortem at Dera Bassi Civil Hospital, the corpse was given by the police to the deceased’s relatives.

Gagan achieves a double.

Chandigarh: In the current Chandigarh Men’s Football League at the Sector 46 Sports Complex, Gagan scored twice as Sandhu Football Club defeated Maruti Football Club 2-0. The first goal was scored by striker Gagan in the fourth minute, while the second came in the fifteenth.

Karandeep in the Indian Open, 13th

Chandigarh: At the DLF Golf & Country Club, local boy Karandeep Kochhar shot 8-under 280 to finish 13th in the Hero Indian Open. With a final round score of 69, Kochhar finished tied for 13th place with five other players. He and two other Indian golfers, Aman Raj and Omparkash Chauhan, entered the first round as the top-placed Indians. The three had tied for 14th place with a 4-under par.
