Youngsters start shooting outside Abohar College

On Tuesday, an unidentified young person opened fire outside Guru Nanak Khalsa College, which is situated close to the Abohar-Malout road in this area. This caused quite a commotion. The event resulted in no injuries.

Through its hotline, the police learned that some naughty people were congregating outside the campus. When DSP Arun Mundan and Inspector Navpreet Singh, the in-charge of City-1 Police Station, arrived at the scene with other law enforcement officers, they assessed the situation. The police regained control of the situation and found the gun and ammo. The offenders have been charged with a crime, and further action is being pursued.

As SSP Pragya Jain arrived, she assessed the circumstances. Despite it being against the law, preliminary indications indicate that some young people were engaging in hooliganism in relation to the student union elections.

The SSP declared that no hooliganism would be tolerated and that the police were keeping a steady eye on things on the ground. She also said that no one would be permitted to destroy the mood in the city and that appropriate action would be taken against those responsible for the shooting incident.
