After scoring 44 runs against Australia on the fourth day of the World Cup, Virat Kohli posted a mysterious message about “letting go”

Virat Kohli, a former captain of India, scored a critical 44-run innings to help his country advance to the World Test Championship (WTC) final. India still trailed Pat Cummins’ team by 280 runs at Stumps on Day 4, forcing them to chase down a record 444 run total. Virat kept his team alive at the Oval on Saturday with a valiant performance. After the last play of the day, Kohli sent a mysterious message about ‘letting go’ on social media.

The former Indian captain’s most recent social media activity drew the eye of fans ahead of what is expected to be an explosive Day 5 with India still in the hunt for the coveted ICC trophy and the whole nation’s hopes focused on Kohli.

The legendary batsman had earlier ignited the WTC final 2023 between Australia and India with a valiant innings of 44 in 60 balls. At Stumps on Day 4, he and Ajinkya Rahane put together a 71-run partnership to assist Rohit Sharma’s team to a total of 164/3.

Since his heated altercation with Lucknow Super Giants bowler Naveen-ul-Haq and coach Gautam Gambhir during the just finished IPL 2023 season, Kohli has been making a number of mysterious remarks on social media.

In the WTC final, Australia defeated India with a score of 469 after Rohit requested them to bat first. The Australian team was led by centuries from Travis Head and Steve Smith.

In their first innings, Rohit and company could only collect 296 runs in response. Kohli scored only 14 runs before being bowled by Mitchell Starc, while Ajinkya amassed an 89-run effort and Shardul Thakur struck a fifty.

Australia managed to reach a sizable total of 270/8 in their second innings before declaring, leading India by 444 runs. With Kohli and Rahane at the crease, the Indian squad will undoubtedly be optimistic about their prospects of successfully breaking the record.
