When Suryakumar Yadav plays the Punjab Kings in the next IPL match, all eyes will be on him. In their last tournament triumph, the Mumbai Indians star recently displayed his batting skills against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. At the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Suryakumar led the Mumbai Indians’ run chase in the encounter with a brilliant 17-ball fifty. The Mumbai Indians were able to successfully chase the score in 15.3 overs because of his valiant efforts.

The same momentum against the Chennai Super Kings in their IPL El Clasico was not maintained by Suryakumar Yadav. In that match, the T20 specialist got out for a duck and the Mumbai Indians finally gave up a 20-run deficit.

The Punjab Kings, captained by Shikhar Dhawan, suffered a heart-stopping defeat at the hands of the Rajasthan Royals in their most recent match. The 2008 winners were led by Shimron Hetmyer to a three-wicket triumph. The Punjab Kings last won on April 4 against the Gujarat Titans, and they are now on a two-match losing skid.
