Is a UFO sighting in New York? Unidentified “flying cylinder” seen on video confounds residents

New York: An aircraft passenger saw a weird “flying cylinder” above New York, which baffled her and the public and sparked a strong fear that a UFO may be over the Big Apple. Following the discovery of the mystery item by a lady named Michelle Reyes, federal aviation authorities have already started gathering information.

Reyes reportedly saw a strange flying cylinder out of her aircraft window on March 25 when she was traveling over LaGuardia airport on a commercial trip. She was able to record the event on camera. She told local reporters on Wednesday, “The first thing I did was email the FAA to let them know what I saw.”

“Maybe it was a safety hazard, but unfortunately I haven’t heard back from them; they didn’t acknowledge my email,” she said. Another passenger on the aircraft, according to her, was astounded to see the item. “It’s a little nerve-wracking that someone else saw what I saw,” she said.

What is revealed by the analysis?
After seeing the video, Ohio’s state director of the Mutual UFO Network, Thomas Wertman, said that the black object was “relatively close” to the jet as it was getting ready to land and was traveling at a height of around 2,500 feet. According to him, the object’s form, height, and position ruled out the possibility that it was a drone, news helicopter, or military aircraft.

Sadly, Wertman claims that the video that Reyes uploaded “doesn’t appear to be doctored.”. “At least legally, drones aren’t meant to fly at that height. It’s not something you typically see near a major air route if it has to do with [military] defense or law enforcement,” he said.

Wertman, who has spent years searching the sky for signs of alien life, said that it may represent a “potential hazard” and found the object’s peculiar spherical form to be “intriguing” since it refutes the idea that it was a second aircraft captured on camera at an unusual angle. “I don’t see features like wings or a tail, so it does not appear to be a commercial aircraft,” he said.

Without metadata from the video and other data, he is unable to rule out alternative ideas, such as animals flying at great altitudes and weather balloons. A representative of the Federal Aviation Administration said on Thursday that there had been “no reports” from pilots on the unexplained occurrence.

Although there have been many reports of UFO encounters in the US, the Pentagon has not yet discovered any proof of alien technology. According to the Pentagon, in March, the majority of UFO encounters were really misidentified objects or phenomena with no extraterrestrial origin.
