Cristiano Ronaldo’s red card decision is criticized by Al Nassr coach after “Ali Al-Bulayhi Acted in Front of Referee.”

Cristiano Ronaldo’s red card during Al Nassr’s Saudi Cup semifinal loss to Al Hilal, according to Al Nassr manager Luis Castro, was unjust. Following Al Nassr’s 1-2 defeat in the Saudi Cup last week, Castro expressed disapproval of the referee’s calls.

“Ali Al-Bulayhi behaved in front of Ronaldo and the referee. It was a bad choice. Castro went on to say that he did not see anything that would have warranted Ronaldo’s removal from the game. Goal.com cited Castro as stating, “I will not talk about the shot of the legend Cristiano Ronaldo because I do not see that he did anything that deserved to be expelled.”

A straight red card was shown to Ronaldo during the semifinal.

The incident started when the Portuguese player and the referee got into a furious debate about his goal being disallowed in the first half for offside. He ultimately received a ticket for his deeds.

Ronaldo was shown a straight red card in the second half for elbowing Al Hilal defender Al-Bulayhi in the 86th minute.

The legendary football player will now likely incur a two-match ban for his aggressiveness and actions during the contest.

In addition, Ronaldo will be penalized 10,000–20,000 riyals for his booking. The former Real Madrid and Manchester United goal scorer will probably not play in Al-Nassr’s matches against Al Fahya and Al Khaleej due to the straight red.

Castro said that since there was hardly any physical contact between the two players, Al-Bulayhi’s movements were only simulations.

He stated, “They took advantage of Ronaldo’s provocation and the Al Hilal defender pretended that he was hit in the face. It was a play on his part and the contact was slight.”

The Al Nassr manager continued by saying that a VAR intervention ought to have been made to stop this kind of thing from happening. “In my view, the main referee should have been called by the VAR referee,” he said.

Al Hilal advanced to the Saudi Super Cup final after the red card.

On April 11, they defeated Al Ittihad 4-1 in the championship match to ultimately win the tournament.

Al Nassr’s next Saudi Pro League match is scheduled for April 19 against Al Fayha. Al Nassr has 65 points from 21 games, enough for second place in the rankings right now. They are now 12 points behind Al Hilal, who is in first place.
