Eden Hazard Will Depart Real Madrid After the Season, the Club Announces

Real Madrid confirmed on Saturday that Eden Hazard will be leaving the Spanish giants after four seasons marred by injuries.

In 2019, Hazard, 32, paid 115 million euros ($123 million) to leave Chelsea and join Real. He was introduced to up to 50,000 fans at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The international from Belgium was at the top of his form, scoring twice in Chelsea’s 4-1 victory against Arsenal to help the English team win the Europa League.

However, an ankle injury he sustained in Spain almost immediately prevented the player from winning Premier League player of the season for the 2014–2015 season.

Only 54 league appearances total, including six this season, and seven goals were scored by him.

Eden Hazard and Real Madrid Football Club have agreed to part ways as of June 30, 2023, according to a statement released by Real.

Real Madrid would like to convey its love for Eden Hazard and its best wishes for him, his family, and his future endeavors.

Forward At the conclusion of his contract in June, Marco Asensio announced on Saturday that he will also be departing Real Madrid.

Asensio scored 61 goals in 285 games for Madrid, helping them win La Liga, the Champions League, and the Copa del Rey three times each.

The attacker had a powerful impact off the bench but was unable to secure a starting position for Los Blancos.
