Harbhajan Singh: “Virat Kohli Has Established Himself as a Great, While Babar Azam Still”

The illustrious Indian bowler Harbhajan Singh believes that Babar Azam still has a long way to go before he can bat on par with Virat Kohli. Cricket’s traditional adversaries, India and Pakistan, sparked a social media fan feud between Kohli and Babar’s large followings. Cricket fans often contrast the Pakistani skipper with the master of Indian batting. In the past, the two athletes have lauded one another in front of large audiences.

While many former cricketers have constantly favored Kohli over Babar and said that the latter has played more international cricket and repeatedly shown his mettle on the biggest platform, they have also often preferred Kohli over Babar.

Babar still has a long way to go, according to Harbhajan, who also stated that the Pakistan skipper should work on his T20 batting. Harbhajan further said that Kohli is already in the category of great players but Babar does not.

“Virat Kohli has shown to be a great, whilst Babar Azam still has a lot of work to do. He will get there eventually since he is a fantastic player. He excels at Test cricket, but maybe T20 doesn’t fit him well, according to Harbhajan on his YouTube account.

On his YouTube channel, the seasoned Indian spinner was joined by former Pakistani paceman Shoaib Akhtar, who expressed similar opinions on the similarities between Kohli and Babar.

The Rawalpindi Express praised Babar for developing his short-form game and criticized his detractors for being unfair to him.

“Virat Kohli is the best, and Babar Azam is on pace to become the best batsman in history,” He is attempting to improve at T20s. People are supporting him irrationally, Akhtar said.

The headline match in the 2023 ODI World Cup will follow the 2023 Asia Cup match between India and Pakistan. The Asia Cup schedule has not yet been released, but on October 15th, during the ODI World Cup in Ahmedabad, the two arch rivals will square off.Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, will celebrate his 29th birthday on a contentious occasion this year since it comes on the same day, October 15.
