Hyderabad business backed by Sachin signs a contract with Rolls-Royce

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad-based business Azad Engineering, supported by Sachin Tendulkar, has strengthened up for a seven-year stint as a manufacturer and supplier of vital engine components to the British aerospace and defense giant Rolls-Royce Plc for its military aircraft engines.

On Monday, the stock exchange was notified by Azad Engineering that it had signed a contract with Rolls-Royce Plc. The parts will be produced in Azad’s Hyderabad-based facility.
The business, which debuted in December of last year and has Tendulkar as an investor, will become a part of the worldwide supply chain for very important and complicated rotating parts for military engines.
Azad Engineering is renowned for producing highly accurate, life-critical, zero-defect forged and machined rotating components for the aviation industry, including engines and aircraft for both the military and the civil air force.
Rakesh Chopdar, the founder and CEO of Azad Engineering, stated: “We are honored that Rolls-Royce has selected us as a strategic partner.It not only demonstrates Azad Engineering’s capability but also marks a significant turning point for India’s aerospace and defense sector.”
